Although the minimum charge is 1 hour about $99 which is too high , the job they do is exceptional. Make sure you go to the office to see smile on everyones face. I recommend them
Terrible experience. Had a flood in our basement which was a faulty sump pump. Had them come out to change it. A couple hours later they showed up with 2 guys. Charged us double for the extra employee who did not do anything. They then changed the sump pump which faulted 3 weeks later and caused another flood. Would not recommend. We have contacted our legal team and will be moving forward.
Recently replaced one of our two 35 year old Wel-X-Trol pressure tanks but wasn't happy with the configuration of the wiring. Hyde Park plumbing resolved this to my absolute satisfaction. Now neat and tidy. Their prompt attention to detail was much appreciated.
Hyde park has proven to be a complete NIGHTMARE to deal with. Over the past few years, our family has retained this company numerous times with an escalating severity of problems.To begin, my elderly father called Hyde Park to fix his gas fireplace when it would not start. Hyde Park indicated to him that an entirely new unit was required. Luckily, my Father sought a second opinion from My Fireplace and they simply relit the pilot light. Thank heavens there are still some reputable honest and knowledgeable companies in business, like My Fireplace.Secondly, we had Hyde Park to our home to simply replace a Toilet Seat; the bill we received charged us for a complete toilet replacement. We have found that their billing is based on pure fiction and even when an estimate is given the bill always exceeds the estimate by leaps and bounds. Their last visit to our home was by far the straw that broke the camel's back. Over 4 hours late, two young kids, whose only focus was the nearest sushi restaurant caused major damage to our main sewer line, then left the broken piece in our line during only a partial clean out because they brought inadequate equipment. During telephone follow up the owner nonchalantly acknowledged that they broke the pipe and told us to give him a call if it backed up (in our fully finished basement), but now claims Hyde park caused no damage. We have tried to explain that it will cost several thousands to repair the damage they caused and therefore, we felt no payment for an incomplete and neglectful job should be paid. They are threatening our perfect credit rating with a collection agency for a job that frankly they should be completely apologetic for. Our attempts to contact the owner and discuss have been met with nothing short of the worst unprofessional rude behaviour. WE WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
A few months ago on a Saturday morning we woke up to find that our water heater had died. On the recommendation of friends we called Hyde Park Plumbing & Heating. Two plumbers showed up within about an hour. After checking things out and picking up a new water heater, they had it installed and were on their way. They were very efficient and friendly and our new water heater has worked like a charm ever since. Even though it was a Saturday, we were not charged extra and even got a seniors' discount. We now have a plumber we know can count on. Thanks
