After hiring a dryer vent expert to investigate my blocked vent that goes up to the roof I was informed that my roof was sagging and it required to be fixed before my venting issues could be resolved. This is when I called AM Roofing and regretted it ever since.AM Roofing sent out a guy to sell me an entire roof redo after explaining to them I just needed a part of it fixed. Once the guy realized what I wanted he quickly drew up a contract without investigating at all. It appeared he knew what he was talking about and that I was going to get my vent area of my roof fixed for $700. Great! He informed me that in a couple of weeks someone would call me on a Friday to book the time to work on my roof. Great! One full month after I signed the contract I had received no call. Turns out, the guy took another position in the company and my paperwork got lost. It happens I said, no big deal. After taking pictures of my contract to prove that I had one with them Melissa (who was great by the way, 5 stars for Melissa, 1 star for the way this was all handled and the workmanship involved), informed me that they would have the production manager fit me into the schedule. One more month later I finally had an appointment to get my roof fixed. On the day of the appointment I had left the gate open for the roofer and went off to work. The only way I knew it was done was that they left a card in my door as I am no expert on roofing and I wasn't going up into my attic in 40 degree weather to look at something I knew nothing about. Here's where things go from bad to annoyed and angered. My dryer vent guy comes back to do his job and notices that the roofer knocked the vent off while working and that my dryer was venting into my attic and building up water inside of the pipes. This cost me an additional $200 to fix because of the roofer's mistake that was never communicated to me. Had I never hired the dryer vent expert to come back we could have caused even more severe damage to our house and probably would have needed to redo more of the roof due to built up condensation.I will not hire AM Roofing in the future and I suggest you try to find a company that is a little more professional and does the job right. Sorry Melissa, but I just cannot recommend your company after the long run around and damage to my personal property.
An update from 2 weeks ago on this review. The owner Daniel F responded to my review. He asked me to email him to discuss the terrible job. I did that 2 weeks ago and guess what? No response from Daniel F. Be careful folks. This company is bad news.I paid $2700 for new eaves. They took 3 months to come and do the job and when they did they did it poorly and showed up without notice to me. 2 corners of the eaves leak terribly leaving me with ongoing water / ice issues on my driveway. When I complained 3 separate crews have showed up (also without notice) to try to resolve the issue. The last crew claims the side eave was installed with an improper angle so the water does not drain as the angle makes it overflow the corner instead of run toward the downspout. They said they would have to do a new eaves for that side of the house. That was 3 months ago. My emails go unanswered. Im going to proceed with a court action now. Terrible service.
Got 3 different jobs done all by the same company. Best idea ever, saves me so much headache from having to find multiple companies. Had Chimney removed, Attic insulated, and eaves troughs replaced.
Service and Advice at a Nice Price, now thats Value. Thank you Steve B and AM Roofing Crew for coming through in a pinch to expertly fix the shingle and vent issue with my home. Peace of Mind is Priceless.
I would highly recommend AM roofing. The experience and daunting task of trying to understand what we needed vs nice to have was not an issue. The sales rep asked a few questions, made recommendations, and what he quoted was in fact what we received. A step by step walk thru and video of what was found was helpful. Quality, workmanship, and a great understanding by their team was refreshing! Thank you to the whole team! Liz and Rob
