On June 16, 2016 a via train hit a cyclist and killed them, this made all of the trains 5 hours behind schedule for the investigation. Awaiting passengers waited for 5 hours not knowing why there were no trains coming. No one came out to tell us that there has been an accident and that it would be a few hours until they let the trains back on. There was no communication, no reimbursement, nothing was offered to say sorry for the inconvenience.
I love the train.I take it 4 or 5 times a month.via employees are always friendly and helpful..washrooms are always spotless..very comfortable and affordable
Via rail has some great services on deck and it is all done with a great personable smile. The station is modern, up-to-date, and kept up looking its best. Always at the One-Hundred percent mark, and very clean. The loudspeakers and light up boards make sure you will never miss that departure time or that special ones arrival. I wanted to film a train up-close on the platform and they let me, as long as I stood very clear of the tracks. Great staff, services, with an A plus attitude, all within a modern station. It would be better if there's a LRT office or service desk selling local bus tickets and passes.
