i called them and asked for an album and the guy was rude and ignorant on the phone when i was asking if i could come in and pick it up or if i had to order it online

I am so beyond grateful that we found speed city records! We have been dealt a terrible hand of cards lately with all our family dying within the year and these people were so incredibly kind to us. Our grandpa left us his record collection, and we brought it in. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking at selling records or buying records. Our sincere thank you for all your help, it was such an easy process.

Love this shop, been several times. Always a must stop when hitting up London. For me the Jazz, Reggae and the previously titled " Holy Sh.." sections are where it's at and general crate digging.

I discovered Speed City Records while searching for an obscure album on Discogs. They had it, and were both the cheapest and closest store to me, so I made the drive instead of ordering online. The store had parking up a lane on the right side of the store. Slow down to choose the right entrance! Screwed it up twice, lol. Once inside, I knew I would be there for a while. The selection was massive, with very few duplicates. The largest Metal section I've seen maybe ever. Everything is in abundance, and has many subsections such as by genre, by collectibility, by popular band, by price, etc. It can be overwhelming for some I am sure, but patience and a willingness to ask questions at the counter will save you some stress. The gentleman working (not Mike) answered all of my questions happily, and I listened in on some great conversations. There is quality customer service for sure! He was able to streamline my efforts when I couldn't find a couple of titles by explaining that Discogs stuff is off-floor generally, and retrieved two selections from the back. I also asked his opinion on the condition of a used album I wanted, and he was happy to pull the plug on some Generation X to allow me to hear the quality of my album in question. There was a washroom available! The prices are very reasonable, and if the price is high it is probably because it is the right price for that item. I bought 8 albums for $205, and many were sealed. That is nearly impossible to do in the current market. If you must flip through each album like myself, you'll need a good chunk of the day. If you are a CD guy, book the day off. That looks like a project, lol. I strongly suggest this is worth the drive if you have the day off. Lots of places to eat and the casino, all within ten minutes of the shop. Thanks Speed City!!

You have likely come across this review as you are looking for a record store near you... well, this is it. I mean, Speed City has been around for 25+ years. The last time I was at Speed City, it was in a different location, but it doesn't matter where in the city it is. It's awesome. You could spend hours here browsing or just as Mike, and he will tell you where it is. Love records? you will love Speed City!

Something for everyone you would be hard pressed to walk in and not find a gem let alone one you've been serching for. Lots of rare 1st pressings and oddities. My go to spot in london for records plan and simple ?.

First time stopping by and this is aan awesome record store. Great selection of vinyl and a decent selection of CD's. If you're looking for vinyl at good prices, stop by.
